Cube Map serves as the first example in establishing the style and graphic language of the portfolio. It is a study which plays with Rhino, bringing out forms related to concepts such as tectonics and understanding massing.

It is an exercise in understanding how materials might affect an object, as well as how playing with different forms influences the qualities of those materials.

Iterations

Each cube holds the same four moves (extrusion, striation, aperture, inset) resolved at a different intensity. Read side by side, the set describes a range rather than a result.

Graphic assets

The surface markings (stars, arrows, hatch fields, rule weights) were drawn as a separate system and mapped onto the geometry, so the drawing and the model develop under one vocabulary.
